Cheapest Flights Ever: $2 RT
U.S. Airways’ accidental deal this morning was a windfall for those interested in visiting small- to medium-sized town America … with fees and all, customers bought roundtrip tickets (some even first class) for $40 (the base price was $2).
A partial list of cheap destinations served:
- Asheville, NC
- Hilton Head Island, SC
- Watertown, NY
- Lebanon, NH
- Eugene, OR
I’m curious what the lucky people do with the tickets they bought. One man interviewed in the story bought 10 tickets to Eugene (he lives in Toronto). Why? “I’ve always wanted to go to Oregon.”
