Reduce your chance of lost luggage…
Global Bag Tag has an idea for you: luggage tags with an id number on them you (or the person that finds your bags) can type in on the internet if they get lost. They’re clever enough to avoid promising their that tags will reduce the chance your luggage will get lost — no, they’re more in the market for increased peace of mind.
To give them credit, the advantage the internet plays here is it gives people who lost their bags more privacy, and flexibility (lost your cell phone too? Update your phone number online and the people who find your bag can still contact you).
However, a lost bag is a lost bag, and adding another level of complexity (is there anyone who *doesn’t* put their email / phone number on luggage tags?) to the process won’t help your bag get found.
If you’re interested, the tags cost $16.95 / £9.95 for two, which includes free membership for two years. Membership is required for the tags to mean anything, and it costs $4.80 / £2.95 per year, after the first two.
