Cheap Flights in Europe: Best Sites?

A Flight Club member asked about the best place to find cheap flights in Europe (they suggested www.ebookers.com) … I know of two good places to look, but I don’t know if they are the best (I don’t fly around Europe much, yet).

The first is SkyScanner, a flight aggregator web site. Type in where you’re going and they give you results.

The second is Cheap0, a blog that posts cheap fare deals in Europe. They look similar to what George Hobica does in the United States.

So, European travelers: what do you use to find flights? You have more low fare airlines than we do in the states, do you have one carrier you’re loyal to, or do you jump around?

(also, game300, did that answer your question?)

Two great websites I used on a regular basis are:

http://www.ryanair.com & http://www.easyjet.com – consider them the “Southwest” of Europe. Just be mindful of their baggage limits. I got dinged an extra £25 because my bag was too heavy – but I only paid £14 for my ticket to Glasgow from London (return, WITH tax) to begin with – a great deal. EasyJet does more of the Continent travel. A “no frills” airline.

Ah and I should do a plug for travel agencies – http://www.trailfinders.com has an excellent reputation and they have offices throughout the UK, Ireland & Australia.

    Hi flight-club!

I just wanted to stop-by and say “thanks” for recommending Skyscanner in your blog! Per Darcy’s comment below, you can search Easyjet, as Ryan Air flights directly from Skyscanner. One-stop, easy browsing.

For a little fun, might I suggest choosing “all year” for your date-range selection? Or, you can search from your home-city to “everywhere” for some inspiration as well.

    Either way, Happy Flying!
