Another airline customer service story

This blog is not a Continental Airlines hate-parade, but seriously: that airline keeps popping up, and not in a good way. I’m glad I’m not flying with them today, for they would take revenge for this pile-on … here’s another Continental customer service complaint:

Another airline squanders a customer service opportunity

Now that customers can broadcast their complaints across the internet I wonder if that’s changing how major corporations think about customer service.

    SPIRIT AIRLINES GOING OUT OF BUSINESS?

    Given Spirit’s propensity to cancel flights in the past week and their incredible apathy toward disrupting so many lives, this so called “Spirit” sale feels more like a “GOING OUT OF BUSINESS SALE”. The Detroit terminal is littered with people sitting on the floor because of lack of adequate seating. There are people lying on the floor for 13 hours because of successive cancellations; very reminiscent of travel experiences in third world countries. SPIRIT if you are going out of business do us a favor and get on with it, so as not to disrupt so many family vacations. People work too hard for family time. This brand of dishonesty is outrageous.

    My experience with spirit airline was extremely BAD!! On our way back from St. Martin in the Caribbean to Fort Lauderdale, my fiancĂ© and I arrived at the airport right at the cut off time for international flights…1 hour prior to departure time. However no one was at the counter! They left the counter early!! We found a customer service rep for spirit and she was extremely rude and speaking in her own language and moving very slowly. When we asked her to help us find someone to check us in, she just ignored us and went about her business. We were extremely frustrated! The whole time she was on the phone speaking her language and ignoring us. We couldn’t find any body else to help us. Half hour later, she says someone will come over after the plane departs and help us rebook for another flight the next day! We were shocked at how poor their customer service was!!! It was a small airport; not a full flight for spirit at all, there was no reason why they should leave their post early and not be able to send someone to help us check in. We literally saw our plane leave right before our eyes. Someone finally came 1 & half hour later. She also ignored us, and simply told us all the extra fees involved if I have to rebook for another flight…about $ 270 more! We were enraged but went with the charges, however their system was not working properly…the reservation won’t go through. An hour later, she still couldn’t get it to work…then she tells us, the reason why it didn’t go through is because she had to charge another $60 for such and such fee and another $25 for some other fee. That was when we decided, enough with Spirit, we’ll go with another airline. Later we found out that $270 was charged to our credit cards. And when we called the customer service line, which takes an hour to get through, they said there’s nothing they can do!!! I simply can’t believe how awful this airline is!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND SPIRIT AIRLINE TO ANYONE AT ALL!!! THEY HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!

    Spirit crushed my luggage at the Detroit Metro Airport and nobody responds at all. Nobody will answer a phone. The numbers given at the claim center are useless. I have been, most recently, on theri butt about ogetting this claim resolved, but still no response. Ask for a supervisor r Manager, FORGET IT, they won’t do it. I think mgrs. are afraid to handle their job. Never seen a business run like this one!! I don’t think it will last long either. Even their CEO BE. if you will, Has the same attitude about his customers. A lot written about him on the web. Bottom line, I won’t quit till I am paid for their mistakes, even if it means small claims court.. or calling these numbers on the hour!!

    Spirit Airlines is the worst airlines I have ever dealt with in 45 years. They hide behind third world countries for customer service that is non existent. I booked a flight for one of my chief employees as a gift. I was going to fly his wife to Florida to spend Easter with him. The flight was booked online at 8am. Needless to say there I am having a phone conversation with him as I am booking this flight to make sure the timing was correct for her arrival. In the process of booking the flight while talking to him I accidentally typed his name in rather than hers. Immediately after doing so the confirmation e-mail shows up and I realize the error. Now the nightmare begins I spent the next several hours explaining to these idiots the error and they keep telling me I am trying to transfer the flight to a third party. So I go to the spirit website and it clearly says if you have an error in the name to contact service. Explain that to morons that barely speak English!! The moral to the story is I am cancelling the transaction on my credit card booking through someone else and SPIRIT AIRLINES CAN TAKE A FLYING LEAP BEFORE I WILL EVER USE THEM AND THEIR JOKE OF AN AIRLINE EVER AGAIN!!!!! I hope they go out of business because with service and operations from the top down who and the hell can trust getting up to 30,000 ft off the ground with that type of incompetence!!!!!!!!!

    please do not do business with spirit.They charged my credit card for a reservation i was trying to make 5 days ago and until now nothing has been done to address the matter.My credit card is still showing the charges and this is 5 days after the attempted transaction.

    these guys are thieves please stay away from them

    their flights are not cheap because there are so many hidden charges
