I also find that checking the newspapers is a good way. Another stratagy is to find a couple of busy travel agents and look at the specicals they have on discount Airfares in their storefront windows works well for big cites like Bangkok LA Honolulu and London which are all hub sites exept for Honolulu in Hawaii which is a major torist location of Waikiki.
