Survey says flying blows, we need more security, and legroom rules

CNN reports on an Orbitz survey:

Asked to cite their “most problematic” trip experiences, 40 percent of those surveyed cited flight delays and 21 percent said airport security. Only 15 percent said hotel amenities and cleanliness, while 9 percent cited rental cars.

Other interesting bits from the survey:

  • 59% say cheapest prices is the most important factor when picking an online travel site, and only 24% don’t book travel online.
  • 46% think airport security could still be improved. That’s the definition of “asking for it.” What do they want, strip searches? WTF are these people thinking.
  • “More legroom” wins out two-to-one over “free meal” on the flight-perks list.

21% found airport security to be most problematic means that 79% didn’t. Most of us have figured out how to make this problem less of one. Much of the problem can be eliminated by adjusting our own attitudes.
