Making money off of terrorism? Airport security “fast-pass”
Guess it had to happen. Now that airport check-in security can make or break a closely-timed connection, there’s a new company out there with a card to help you avoid the hassle. It’s called “Clear,” and this is what they say it does:
Travelers who join the Clear® Registered Traveler program are pre-screened for security and provided with a biometric card which will allow them to pass through security faster, with more predictability and less hassle. Take the first step toward stress free travel today.
It costs about $100 for a year’s membership. On one hand, you could look at this as a lower-cost equalizer with the first-class folk who already enjoy an expedited security line. On the other hand you can look at this as another company capitalizing on our security-conscious post-9/11 reality. The Clear card is probably a little bit of both. Find out all about it here.
